Sandlin Technique
The Sandlin Technique is a body alignment process that affects all systems in the body including: muscular, skeletal, emotional, mental and spiritual. Its principle function is to strengthen and rehabilitate the body to accelerate the healing process. The approach is gentle and non-intrusive in nature – you remain fully clothed during the session which lasts about one hour. The Sandlin Technique promotes clarity and insight so that suffering can be identified and released thus allowing the body to heal itself.
This technique is the physical component of the body of work developed by Virginia Sandlin. From the tutelage of a Cherokee grandmother who was the director of nursing at a state hospital as well as a traditional midwife, Virginia Sandlin was trained to assist the body’s natural healing process by merging Western medicine with traditional Cherokee practice.
Applying a holographic approach called Matrimatics, Virginia synthesizes ancient wisdom and quantum ethics to uniquely work with the body to restore health.
The philosophy applied addresses the body, the individual, with honor, compassion, and gentleness.
More information about this technique
Many people endure physical pain and stress that leaves the skeletal structure compressed and misaligned. Any life trauma, repetitive motion or stress can lead to dislocation of the bones. If the skeleton is out of alignment, the muscles and internal organs are in a state of continual stress and circulation is impaired. In fact, from the very beginning, the natural birthing process affects every person’s physical structure. Any misalignment left untreated can lead to more painful or permanent damage to muscles, nerves and joints.
Suffering, whether physical, emotional or mental, is an indication that the body is unable as a whole to maintain health. The Sandlin Technique addresses the whole personal journey as revealed through your physical body. Incomplete issues cause suffering that leads to disempowerment and depleted energy. Incomplete issues are those unconscious patterns of behavior that undermine our ability to sustain a feeling of well being. These patterns may be related to a life experience, relationship or event.
Once physical, emotional and mental residue is unconstrained, the body’s energy system is able to rebalance and integrate, and one is able to move forward, experiencing life more fully.
